Canadian National 2-8-0 (Consolidation) type No. 1931 poses with crewmen at London, Ontario on April 16, 1928. This locomotive was a member of class M-4-k, erected by Canadian Locomotive Company in 1908 for CNR predecessor Canadian Government Railways. This representative of the class exerted 30,000 pounds of tractive effort and weighed 174,600 pounds. She featured 22x28-inch cylinders and 56-inch diameter drivers, and had a boiler pressure of 180 p.s.i. Tom Rock of T.D.R. Productions provided this view which came from the collection of Ed Emery of Toronto. The photographer's identity is uncertain. The engine remained on the CNR roster at least into the early 1940s.
